Here Comes Mr. Jordan

Seriously, he's going to show up at my front door in the next week or so. Ok, I should probably clarify -I just bought the DVD off eBay. I've never seen the film, so this'll be fun.

It looks like a legit copy issued outside of the US (what's up with that?). It's also in PAL format, so I hope my trusty PC software can ignore that fact. I bought a bootleg once off eBay from the orient. Boy, great quality but bad translating on the box!

I'll add a post once I get the chance to watch it.

I certainly hope your ebay win will indeed play.:) I first saw this film on AMC when I was a teenager, and fell in love with it. Years later, when I broke up with a particularly important boyfriend, I headed to the Hollywood Video to drown my tears in celluloid. I went in search of Jordan, and thankfully it was there.:) That film never fails to lift my spirits. And our Eddie Horton is in fine form as well.

Damn Blogger just did it to me too. Grrr. I'd find another home for this but I love the formatting. Maybe once I get more used to LJ....

Say, do you get an email when I respond with a comment? Can't figure out that part either.

Mr. Jordan is loaded with my favorites...Bob, Mr. Horton, James Gleason, Claude Rains. And once again I agree with you all—Eddie is just superb. I've had mixed luck with E-bay movies (on the rare occasion I actually win something on Ebay). If its a lousy copy, i'll be glad to burn a DVD for you (Viola, if you don't have a copy and want one I can send you a copy as well). I recorded it last fall from Encore so it looks great. In fact you can just let me know what you're missing in the Bob inventory and I can see if I have it. Its the least I can do for all the great info on this blog (especially on the posters) as well as all the goodies (photos) posted in the Night Must Fall LJ. (I haven't quite figured out how to post photos yet.)

We should set up a video swap or something. All my stuff is off satellite, to DVD, and is easy to make a copy of. I probably have 20 films or so. Nothing real rare. Hmm, maybe post something off of Night Must Fall...

I posted my Montgomery films on the NMF LJ. I only have about 200 other classics. mainly because I'm very slow to move the films from the DVR. I finally managed to burn a bunch of DVDs this week to clear space for Lee Tracy on Friday.

I heart Lee Tracy so much.:) I share his birthday too.
