Bob (and sometimes Betty) Out and About

Photo Caption:  "Robert Montgomery locks his specially built number before entering the Berkeley Tavern.  What do you think of Bob's hat-band?"  (This photo was taken c. 1945.  Anyone know the location of a Berkeley Tavern?  L.A.?  NYC?  London?  Patterson, NY?)

I have nada info. on the photo below.  Clippings packages always have treasures, but photo descriptions are quite often missing.  An air show perhaps?  Whatever, Betty appears really into it.

The air show shot - looks like Roscoe Turner on the right. He was a famous air racer, oh, and had a pet lion named Gilmore

A pet lion named Gilmore ... sounds like the atypical person Bob would seek out for a good time. Just googled Roscoe Turner and Gilmore ... Turner was a real character. Looks like he got a lot of mileage out of Gilmore!

Turner lived the last 20 years of his life in Indianapolis (my home town) and is buried at Crown Hill Cemetery. Gilmore only flew with Turner for about the first six months of his life. Lions grow very large VERY fast.
