WB - You Forgot the Best One!

When Warner Brothers Archives released their five new Joan Crawford movies, they asserted that all Joan Crawford MGM movies were now available on DVD.  Wrong.  They overlooked what is probably the best pairing of Bob and Joan .......LETTY LYNTON!!  Oh, shucks, are we ever going to see a good copy of that beautiful movie?!  Sigh...  (Hats off to Robert for catching that ad oversight.)

Oh how I love that famous Letty Lynton dress! It was almost as pretty as Bob (you notice I said "almost")! Come on people! Give us this film on DVD!!!!

I've been trying to find a copy of this movie that I can watch for a long time with no success.

Hi! Have you thought of creating a facebook page? I think that you would be pretty successful there. I admin a few pages. It really has taken the place of blogging, or at least helps boosts the blog. Think about it!

Mary - food for thought, a lot of thought for this barely computer literate soul. Ummmmm...........

Brittaney - If you are looking for a "good" copy of Letty, I can't help you. But, if any copy will do, leave a comment with your contact info. You'll be able to see just enough through the blur to give you an idea how nifty it is!

Debbie - The definition of pretty: when Bob makes his first appearance in the movie, exiting his stateroom dressed in that gorgeous white suit...my, my, my.

My copy of Letty is on DVD but it looks like an old VHS movie with bad tracking. The dialogue can be hard to hear at times because of a really annoying crackling noise that can be heard on the audio track. I think this is as good as it gets for copies of Letty. I am happy to have the film despite the poor quality, and I love it. I am a huge fan of both Bob and Joan and I think this is their best pairing together. WB really needs to fight for the rights of this film and get it re-mastered so that we finally can have a more watchable version of it.

Roxie - Unfortunately, I have the same copy as yours. It is amazing that a film can be tied up by the courts for over 80 years ... should the government protect MY rights so diligently!
