Quick, who is the very, young man with Constance Bennett?
And, I'm guessing, a more difficult challenge, so a hint is due. This young man is in costume for an opera, not a movie, although he will star in movies. Who is he?
The winner(s) receive my total admiration for your classic movies expertise.

I'm probably wrong, but I'll guess a VERY young Basil Rathbone.
This looks like a scene from Merrily We Live, so I'm going to guess that is Tom Brown.

Brittany - good guess. His outfit does scream "Tom Brown!" It isn't, however and yes, Debbie, you are wrong! I see now I should've given more clues. So...First Challenge: He started at MGM, was an extra in Stranger May Kiss and But the Flesh is Weak, but finds great success at Paramount, one of their biggest stars. Second Challenge: At one point the highest paid singer in the country, he was also highly successful at MGM in a string of musicals in the 30s, even has the dressing room next to Gable! Wanna guess again?
It isn't Ray Milland, is it??
