A Danny for Debbie

This is a 10 x 13 photo so, of course, it is trimmed.  But the quality is still there.  I've always admired the way Bob could convey his characters in the portraits taken for his movies.  And what thoughts are being hidden by those blue eyes ... murder, mayhem, strangling Louis B.

Thank you for the wonderful photo! Another I had never seen. Bob had the most expressive face. I love in this movie how the beautiful, charming face becomes frighteningly cold in the final scene between Danny and Olivia. Thanks again! You guys are the greatest!

Hey, I'd've strangled Louis B. Mayer if I had had to deal with the gross old cretin. A favorite "Golden Era" story: a newly signed starlet - darn if I can remember her name! - is invited over to Mayer's home at night with the promise of giving her her contract. She goes (first mistake) and he makes his move on her - you were expected to sleep with the boss. He was so clumsy at it that she laughed at him. Louis B. was not pleased. The starlet, a friend of Bob from Broadway, calls him for advise later. After hearing her story, Bob informs her that she is now dead in Hollywood. And she was. Uncle Louis was a real sleazeball.
