Man I would love to have that hatbox! Wonder whatever became of it?.........Oh, I know, sounds creepy, like having a thing for Norman Bates or something, but, in my opinion, Danny was Bob's acting masterpiece. Oh how I love this movie! (BTW, thanks for the photo, hadn't seen it before.)
Debbie, I can't look at a "Night Must Fall" photo without thinking of you. I'm a Bob fanatic...you're a Bob in NMF fanatic. Now that's specialization! In full agreement, Danny was Bob's acting masterpiece. Between Danny and Lt. Brickley in "They Were Expendable," Bob showed he was totally wasted and misused by MGM. Makes me want to stomp on Louis B. Mayer's grave!
Amen to that! His enormous talent was wasted. But you're slightly wrong about me. I would listen to Bob read the phone book. And I agree about "They Were Expendable". Of course Bob in a comedy (especially with Rosalind Russell) is my idea of heaven.

Had to delete my comment...should not have had that glass of wine after a snifter of B&B. (And if you don't know what B&B is...you've led a very deprived life! Do try some with a cup of coffee and/or some chocolate. Heaven comes in an infinite variety of forms.)

This was the first movie I saw RM in.

Certainly a good introduction to Mr. M. Were you aware at the time that Bob was primarily a light-comedian? Seems it would be strange to start off thinking he was a dramatic actor.
I only knew him as Elizabeth's father before that. After I saw NMF, I read about him so I knew he was more known for comedies before I actually saw those movies. My favorites are the broad comedies.
Hey, you discovered Bob, that's what's important!
