Related, there's a good OTR version of this story with Joseph Cotten and Louise Albritton. Joseph is dead-on perfect as Richard Kurt. The file is a bit on the large side for me to host, but visit the Internet Archive page on the Screen Guild Theater and just scroll down until you hit Biography of a Bachelor Girl.

This is definitely one I want to see! I love how at the end of the trailer, it says that a bachelor girl lives alone with her memories, while a spinster just lives alone, lol - ouch!

I've figured that of the 3 girls at the beginning, I'd be the one with the glasses (lol).
Wow. There sure are a lot of bachelor films! I've seen 4 myself. This one looks interesting.
If you can't locate the film, check out the radio show - IMO, the storyline flows better.
