Young Bob x 3

To me, the best part of collecting old fan magazines is the unexpected find, particularly when it is a photo of Bob.  The photo below, taken in 1929 by Ruth Harriet Louise ... just precious.

 A familiar face on Broadway, Robert Montgomery makes his first appearance in MGM's "So This Is College." 

"Bring on your leading ladies with all their glamour and sophistication," says Bob Montgomery.  "I guess I haven't forgotten the gentle art of scene stealing."  (I'm sure Bette Davis would have attested to that!)

Month of gayety and laughter.  Robert Montgomery brought a fresh breath of comedy to the screen, so what personality could fit that month so well!
