I was tempted to post a wicked murder story here being February 14, but my softer side prevailed. Today's radio show is The Grand Duchess and the Waiter from the Lux Radio Theater, December 7, 1936. It's a light-hearted romantic comedy starring Robert Montgomery and Elissa Landi - it would have made a cute film.
1 Hour - 13.6 MB
Farmer Bob makes another appearance at the end.

Thank you again! I just listened to the show and the last bit, where DeMille announces next week's show, is unbelievable - Jean Harlow in Napoleaonic France? A washerwoman who becomes a noblewoman!? I'd love to hear that one!
I just looked to see if that show is available - couldn't locate it. 1936 Lux shows seem to be rarer.
This story was so cute. I'm really getting hooked on these old-time radio shows.
