Suave, Debonair, Handsome, etc., etc., etc.
We must be talking about William Powell ... born on July 29, 1892 in Pittsburgh, PA. Happy Birthday, Mr. Powell. I need to watch one of his movies for his birthday. Mister Roberts (1955) is being shown by TCM on demand until Aug. 1st. Yeah, that sounds good. It's always great to see a performer end his career with a good role, and that's the character Doc in Roberts.

Happy birthday to apparently one of the nicest guys in Hollywood at the time. His most frequent co-star (Myrna Loy) adored him, his ex-wives were his close friends, he was the love of Jean Harlow's life, and it goes without saying his wife of 44 years Diana Lewis loved him as well. A class act all around (not to mention those beautiful bedroom eyes). Happy Birthday Mr. Powell from one of your biggest fans!
