An unusually critical article from the May, 1933, issue of "Picture Play," this is definitely worth the read.

Interesting read. Makes you wonder if the writer who was one of them "at the table..."
I'm still rather amazed the magazine would publish such an article about a major studio star. Fan magazines did not usually do anything to upset the studios. Wonder if Mayer gave a green light to dump on Bob, "threaten" him a bit. Mayer was flexing his muscles during this time, with Thalberg out ill. Whatever, it's just not nice to hassle our beautiful young Bob, not nice at all.
