Hitting the Mainstream?

Imagine to my surprise a bunch of George Hurrell prints of Robert Montgomery appearing on the artwork/poster online stores. Better yet, a bunch I've never seen.

I can't vouch for the quality, but they're certainly reasonable in the $30-40 range for an 18x24 & 12x16 (comparing to Hurrell prints in general). It appears that the same prints are available on AllPosters.com, Art.com, and Amazon.com (via Art.com) which is the cheapest at $29.99.

Here's a few of my favorites - more appear at the above Web sites, go check em' out.

These are wonderful. I especially love the one of him sitting on the chair with the sly smile.

I just counted up and I've seen 29 Montgomery films in the last 26 months. I knew it had been a lot but didn't realize it was that many! Definitely a fan here. :)

Best wishes,
Laura

Carrie, have you seen this site about Reginald Denny's model planes? It has Bob pics and aviation all rolled into one -- should be right up your alley if it's not something you've come across before!!

Best wishes,
Laura

Stelly: Do that & send me a pic...I'll post it! :0)

Laura: Yep, love that site! Lots of detail. I printed one of the photos & have it in my office at work.

Glad to know you'd found it already! It really wowed me. Have been having a great time Googling Reginald Denny to learn more. In fact I just found a post you did about 2-1/2 years ago!! :) :)

Best wishes,
Laura

Laura - It's good stuff. It's good to find such depth, but when it's an actor and you get to see past the screen, it really makes you take interest in someone! I think a book on Denny would be a good read.

Hi Carrie,

Exactly right -- Denny is really deserving of a biography. What a diverse and interesting life. I'd love to read one.

Best wishes,
Laura

i'm ready to acknowledge my crush on this amazing actor.

i have to admit, for years he's been overshadowed in my eyes by bigger "name" leading men.

but there's something about this guy. something so masculine and amazing...

i can deny it no longer--r.m.: i'm definitely crushing on you!
