I have this catalog here from Archival Photography, a place out of Allen Park, Michigan. This place sells photo reproductions of mostly lobby cards, with some movie posters & photos. Neat stuff - I have ordered from him in the past. Lots of 1930's stuff. His Robert Montgomery collection is thin though:

• Faithless - title card repro

• Lady in the Lake - window card poster, lobby card repros

• Night Must Fall - half sheet poster repro

Web site is at www.arch-photo.com. The online catalog isn't as good as the paper one...I think you need a decoder ring for the web site.

Photo Day

I'm at a loss for words today - I gave blood and I think they accidentally drained my brainpower. So, today is a photo day.

It's a photo that won't fit on my scanner (about 12x15 or so). I tried scanning in two pieces & putting together in PhotoShop, but couldn't get it right. Oh well.

What's cool is if you can't afford (or find) original old movie posters, you can buy reproductions. Found some really slick ones called "Masterprints." They're sold at a number of sites, but I've found the variety to change depending on where you look. I think AutographWorld.com has the best selection. Only two Robert Montgomery flicks:

• Mr & Mrs. Smith - Love the film. Bought the print.
• So This is College
  

$12 with a plastic sleve. Go buy one.

Here I go, spending your hard earned cash again.

Another source for repro movie posters - RainFall.com. Have never purchased anything from them, but the items are unique enough to look into:

• Fugitive Lovers (1934)
  

The artwork on these look pretty decent. Some move posters from the 30's you go "huh - that's who?" I will admit though, the look on Helen Hayes' face below looks a bit odd.
