Veterans Day Tomorrow, Don't Forget Your Flag!

My late husband was a Purple Heart recipient from the Vietnam War. I was never a supporter of that war and after he returned from service he also questioned the validity of that war. However, he loved this country, as I do, and would never have shirked his duty to it. Vietnam veterans were treated badly after their return from duty and many have fallen through the cracks and been neglected or left to die by the Veterans Administration's heath care system, as my husband was. But, this is still the greatest country on the face of this earth and I know after everything that happened to him he died still loving it. Me too.

Hear, hear!!!! We are all so fortunate to live in the U.S.A. A great country built on the sacrifice of so many young men serving in the military. The least we can do to thank and honor them is a day of remembrance. Displaying the flag, wearing a poppy, thinking of family and friends who served and are in service now ... our profound thanks to them all.

Should've included "and now, young women" serving in the military. Forgive me, please, ladies.
