See That Blogger? She's a Slacker

Well, not really - life and job have taken priority over blogging. I throw this little tidbit out to let you know I'm still alive.

Good Friends are Cagney and Montgomery

Certain associations last as long in Hollywood as they would anywhere else, detractors to the contrary notwithstanding. One of the long-standing friendships of the movie colony is that between Jimmy Cagney and Robert Montgomery. The two stars have never appeared in a picture together, never worked for the same studio, never lived in the same neighborhood. Yet, they're pals.

On the set of Warner's City for Conquest Jimmy plays host to Friend Montgomery and points out some of the interesting production items. Or perhaps - and who could blame him - he is pointing to Ann Sheridan, with whom he co-stars. A fair sight for any man.

Love to see pictures and hear stories of the Montgomery/Cagney friendship. Both were very strong men, complete oposites in most ways, but seemed to compliment each other. Their friendship lasted until Montgomery's death in 1981.

Thanks for all the good stuff.
