What's Your Inspiration?

Real life is busy here at CM, so I'm going to cheat a little - while keeping the "ball" rolling - by posting a clip from 1931's Inspiration.

OK, I had planned to embed the video, but apparently my original link has been removed at YouTube. Instead, enjoy the full film through this link.

Wow! I don't think I've seen this movie since Robert Montgomery was the star of the month on TCM a few years ago (and I'm not even entirely sure they showed it then) thanks so much for posting the link!

And by the way, it is so nice to see a whole site devoted to Robert Montgomery. He's always been one of my favorites and its been a delight reading your blog :)

Kate - thanks for the comment & kind thoughts!

I think you're right - it hasn't been on TCM now for a few years. I can remember it vividly today...my DVR ended the recording short!

Interesting to see him in this movie as this was about the time his daughter was ill/died. I often wonder when I watch him if he draws anything from his personal experience. I am not a big Garbo fan though-the thought of Bob with Greta makes me shudder.

Shudder is an understatement!
