Can you Identify?

OK movie and Robert Montgomery fans, I've got a mystery photo for you today - or at least it's a mystery to me. I'm trying to identify the two people sitting on either side of Bob. I picked up the photo with a set of other photos averaging from the 1930-31 time frame. The older woman on the right looks familiar, but I can't come up with a name. Have an idea? Drop me a comment!

The lady on the right does look familiar, but I can't place a name on her - any information regarding the picture?

Heh, the back of the photo says "Robert Montgomery" - nothing else!

Greetings,Carrie! Great photo. Could it be from the 1928 Broadway production of Possession?
Cast and Description The scene of the play is a New York City living room (parlor). This mystery is agitating. I even had my husband look at your photo, and he was puzzled, too. He is a huge Robert Montgomery fan--for his character, his sartorial splendor, and his politics too!

Best,

A possibility! I've heard that a few times from folks. For 1928 though, IMHO he'd look a lot younger

The gal on the right looks a bit like Agatha Cjristir, but I can't figure out what she'd be doing there!

Christie, I meant--I'm typing in the dark. And still in the dark as to who these ladies are. I even did research to ascertain that turtlenecks were worn in the twenties and thirties. They were.

But did they wear plaid & stripes? :)

The lady on the right looks a lot like May Robson to me.

That's what I've been hearing from others off site as well, and the direction I'm leaning

I wondered about that plaid/stripes combo, too. :*)

The girl looks a tiny bit like Pat Hitchcock.
